Waymart Hosts Lead-Based Paint Renovator Class for Staff

On Oct. 1, SCI Waymart held a Lead-Based Paint Certified Renovator initial certification class for maintenance staff. The class consisted of training based on the Environmental Protection Agency's RRP Rule. Staff received classroom lecture instruction from Kevin Tuite, DOC assistant chief of safety, along with practical application skills in renovation, repair and painting of lead-based paint surfaces. The certification earned by students is valid for five years.
