Mercer Hosts Red Cross for a Blood Drive

On March 4, SCI Mercer partnered with the American Red Cross for a blood drive. Ten out of the 14 willing to donate were able to do so with the potential to save 30 lives.
During our lifetimes, 97 percent of us will know someone close to us who needed a blood transfusion to survive. This selfless act is so important and it touches the lives of nearly everyone! Mercer is appreciative for those that were able to donate, because the criteria one must meet to donate limits a large amount of corrections staff. Pictured below is Superintendent Melinda Adams.
